Article 63 of GDPR: Consistency Mechanism
Article 63 of GDPR represents the first article in GDPR relating to the consistency mechanism under GDPR.
Based on this article, supervisory authorities are mandated to cooperate with one another in such a way that the rules and obligations of GDPR are applied consistently throughout the European Union.
Such a consistency mechanism will also apply to instances where supervisory authorities need to cooperate with the Commission.
