Article 73 of GDPR establishes the Chair of the European Data Protection Board.
Election of the EDPB Chair (Article 73(1) GDPR)
The European Data Protection Board will elect its Chair and 2 deputy chairs based on a simple majority.
Term of office of the EDPB Chair (Article 73(2) GDPR)
The EDPB Chair will have a five-year term of office and renewable once.
